No, I am not sure how you interpreted that. I said outside of the last 4 years.Halifax2TheMax said:
Except you don’t go from actor, bartender or Joe the Plumber to POTUS. There should be some pretty important life achievements in between. Are you really trying to say that four years of POOTWH was better than everything that came before or the 51 or 52 days or whatever since?FiveBelow said:Because outside of the last 4 years status quo has worked wonders? My bad for misunderstanding that but what has been so bad of the “status quo” that you think someone with little to no experience in or with government would be able to fix? I have issues with past administrations and their policies but I’m not sure replacing them with someone who’s an actor or a bartender is the solution.FiveBelow said:

No worries. My point was that if status quo has gotten us to where we are, what is wrong with trying another approach? I don’t think prior to trump anyone would have considered the US a political utopia, and to automatically think anyone outside of politics coming in will be trump 2.0 is not rational.Halifax2TheMax said:

I know he gets labeled a conservative but describes himself as centrist, which I would prefer.
I don’t know much about him personally, but have watched parts of recent-ish interviews with him, and he did come across as sincere and not paying lip service.www.myspace.com0 -
as a Manitoban, I endorse David Wooderson for Texas Governor.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

you have more than a fundamental understanding of all of that. are you saying you couldn't/shouldn't do it? or is it just because he's famous?Halifax2TheMax said:No thanks, give me someone who has a fundamental understanding of how government works and the three branches of government, their roles, responsibilities and how they function together, at times in conflict with one another. Fuck amateur hour.
the only thing I don't like about famous people running is that the electorate is stupid enough to vote for them for the sole reason of their fame; but the actor's fame doesn't preclude them from being a good public servant.
how do you know he doesn't have a fundamental understanding of how it works?Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0
