So devastated over my broken banjo head could anyone help?

My beloved banjo fell out of my gig bag onto my driveway. If sounded like a piano falling from the 2nd floor. NIGHTMARE. This banjo means the world to me. It was autographed by a lot of my favorite musicians. (Everyone in PJ, except Stone) I’ve had this banjo since 2000. It was my first big purchase back then ($225 from a pawn shop in Chicago). Does anyone know anybody that could fix it? Everyone I asked told me it’s unfixable and to frame it. I live in LA and I go to Chicago often. Anybody please help:( Also, Ditch your gig bag. I’ll post in Musicians and GearHeads as well Thanks for your time.

  • I play guitar not banjo, so this may be a stupid question, but is a banjo neck bolt on like a Fender electric guitar?  You could just switch necks.  Also, you could get another banjo just like that one and just switch the body face part that is autographed to the new one.
  • The only broken part is the head. I’d compare it to trying to fix a broken tambourine or drum head. The rest of the banjo could be fixed. I’m just wondering if anyone knows how to fix the head because of the autographs. Thank you for responding.

Don't think there is anyway of saving a drum head.  Time for a new head! at least banjo is still in one piece!
    Frame that shit!
I made big mistake which I figure might happen, traveling to germany to see them couple years ago and not traveling with a hard case.
I swear some assholes saw all the patches and buttons, laughed at how dumb I was and threw it into a brick wall before I even boarded the plane.  It was folded in half before got it right before I traveled home.  Bogus but my own problem.
What you got for signatures? Pete seeger? Pete townsend? Tony trishka? Danny barnes?
