With Rolling Stone Magazine updating their Top 500 albums of all time, I figured since most of us don't exactly agree with lists, we could take a look at their Top 10 and establish the true best album of all-time.

Alright, so here we play a game to determine the BEST album in the Rolling Stone Top 10.

You are going to pick the album that you think is the "Weakest Link" after 2 days I remove the two (2) songs with the most votes. We will then move on to Round 2.

Rolling Stone Magazine's Top 10 Albums of ALL-TIME
1. Marvin Gaye, 'What's Going On'
2. The Beach Boys, 'Pet Sounds'
3. Joni Mitchell, 'Blue'
4. Stevie Wonder, 'Songs in the Key of Life'
5. The Beatles, 'Abbey Road'
6. Nirvana, 'Nevermind'
7. Fleetwood Mac, 'Rumours'
8. Prince and the Revolution, 'Purple Rain'
9. Bob Dylan, 'Blood on the Tracks'
10. Lauryn Hill, 'The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill'

They did, but updated it last year. Sgt. Pepper was # 1 now its not in the top 10... kinda funny

Oh great - Blood On The Tracks discussion again.  :get_outta_here:
    Just kidding @dankind

I know some of these records pretty well but others I do not.  Interesting one to run so that we will need to listen to them.
Don't think any of these are in my personal Top 10 so there is no real bias, should be fun.

I don't deny Nevermind's importance, but as far as overall musicianship goes, how in honest fuck is this album even in the same discussion as the rest of the albums on the list?

I bet they were trying to be inclusive to people other than white men?  They had Marvin Gaye int the top 10 as the only representative of the non white and now there are 6.

I'm not thrilled with this top 10 either.  Seeing Prince in there is cool as I think that album is worthy.

It is an album that changed the face of music literally over night.

Welp, one album down and it was boring.  NFW that belongs in top 10.

2 for 2 on albums I will never listen to again, although I love some songs from the first one.

I haven't listened to Rumours in a good long while, but I don't need to for this easy-peasy round.

Surprised to see Blue close to going down.  This will get interesting as things progress.
I tried to find the OP list of RS top 10 albums and couldn't find one that matches.  Just curious- where did you find this list,  MedozK?

This was one I couldn’t stop listening to when it came out.

I’m probably in the minority here, but her Unplugged is my favorite.

My wife loves her so I know some of her music but have never listened/focused on one of her records.
The ones I listened to yesterday were straight boring...the songs all sounded pretty much the same, even if I liked/knew some of them.

Ok, have listened to all not very familiar with.
Sad that Lauren Hill is leaving, I would put her Top 5 on this list.
