I Never knew soap made you taller

I also never knew what the hell that meant, apart from the obvious answer of "sellin' me what I don't need" Also anyone know why they called the song Ghost?

    The soap making you taller I always felt was a reference to "standing on a soapbox" - and Jeff writing here in disbelief that just taking one idiotic stance makes you morally superior to people without (or lesser) of an opinion.

  • here's the ghost thing for me:
    the point of this song, to me, was always about being overwhelmed and just becoming invisible because of it.

    your senses go AWOL, and you just want to hide, find things within yourself, and it's getting increasingly harder to do that anymore.




    it has to do with TV and the papers, and just the mass of people and what we consume collectively. and not wanting any of it, and fading away, becomming a ghost.
