Very excited for this, as I'm a big fan of Steven Hyden's writing. For those who aren't familiar, he recently co-wrote that Black Crowes book with Steve Gorman.
For anyone looking to explore some Hyde’s content I highly recommend this series (which has one entry focused on PJ, but really you should read the whole series):
Had Hyden on to talk about the Wrigley 2013 show this summer, good example of what he thinks of the band and how his fandom has changed through the years.
Hi, I host a Pearl Jam Podcast. We go back to some of the classic shows in their history and break down the entire setlist front to back. From historic perspective, to performances, to setlist construction, to fan stories. We do our best to capture the magic that is their live act and help you relive those memories, or if you weren't there, maybe turn you on to a show you've never heard before.
Live On 4 Legs can be found on Apple Podcast, Spotify and any other major podcast platform. But please support our website and check out the episodes archived there. Oh, and the Concertpedia as well (for you Five Horizons and Two Feet Thick fans, we've picked up where they've left off)

Its funny, because his PJ piece really made it seem like he disliked the band. But then 8 years later he's doing a 7 part pod cast and writing a book on them.
He's great! I read his first two books and he's a great Twitter follow. Everyone should check out his podcast Rivals about band rivalries which unfortunately recently got cancelled, but there's a ton of them out there.
This is awesome! I found Hard to Handle (the Black Crowes book) thoroughly entertaining. Not sure how accurate the book was as it is told entirely through Gorman's perspective (I know, that was the point!) but the book was a fascinating look behind the scenes of a great band and even more interesting as a look into the workings of the music industry.

I have been meaning to check that out for a long time and want to even more after your comment about the workings of the music industry. I will probably even read his Radiohead book at sometime even though I don't care for Radiohead.
