2006 is still brilliant to listen to. This was the year I went to my first shows so it holds a special place in my heart.
The shows I saw were all great (Lisbon, Verona, and Milano specially), but there are so many great shows to choose from:

    1st Leg:
    Albany
    Hartford
    Grand Rapids

    2nd Leg:
    Las Vegas
    San Diego
    Santa Barbara
San Franciso - all 3 nights together make for a great set of shows.

    Europe:
    Arnhem
    Reading
    Lisbon 1 & 2
    Marseille
    Verona
    Milano
    Pistoia
    Berlin
    Zagreb

    Australia:
    Sydney 3
    Newcastle
    Adelaide 1 & 2
    Perth

Every show on the tour is good/great, but the shows above are just wonderful.

2006: London Astoria, Lisbon I & II, Paris, Verona, Milano
    2007: Wembley, Dusseldorf, Copenhagen, Nijmegen
    2009: Manchester
    2010: Belfast, Berlin
    2012: Manchester I & II
    2014: Leeds, Milton Keynes
2018: Amsterdam I, Prague, Krakow, Berlin, Barcelona, London
2022: Berlin, Budapest, Krakow, Amsterdam II

I was front row both night at United Center. Both nights were awesome, but night 2 is pretty hard to beat!
I had only heard night one until yesterday... wow, that opening run through Whipping on night two is scorching. They were on it.

(And Matt starting Marker in the Sand instead of Animal was endearing. It's nice to see he's human.)

Definitely a great tour with some awesome shows! I was fortunate to go to back-to-back shows in Arnhem and Antwerp(en). The latter one was the first show for PJ in Belgium and while the setlist in Arnhem might be more appealing. Antwerpen still is higher in my rotation with a flaming 9 minute Black. Good memories!

If you think about it, the 2006 Tour was mammoth. Aside from the mini-tours in 2009 and 2014, I believe it is the only time they played North America (two legs!), Europe, and Australia in the same calendar year...plus they did pretty big runs of Canada and Latin American in the fall of 2005. They were busy!

  • After listening to some Euro shows from 2006 I gotta say...post 2003...I think they sound the best in 2010 and then 2006 is right behind. I think Eddie sounds better these two tours than 2003, and the band sounds more raw and heavy. I’ll be jumping back into the US your for 2006 in a few days.

    So far, euro tour 2006:
    1. Milan
    2. Florence
    3. Marseille
    4. Lisbon 2
    5. Zagreb
    6. Verona

I was at: Hartford, Camden 1, East Rutherford 1 and 2, Gorge 1 and 2

That entire show was top notch. The version of Last Kiss was brutal though. Ed went way out to the soundboard to sing it in the crowd, and something was clearly off with his earpiece so it sounded like shite. It did lead into a kick ass version of Last Exit though as he ran back to the stage.....
