    National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989)
Christmas Story and Home Alone tie for second.  All three get watched annually this time of year.

I think HOOK is quite a good christmas movie... It's not about Christmas but has a nice feel that fits. And it was shown on christmas over here for a couple of years.

If you Google "Christmas Movies" you probably won't find this one there, but I think of it as a Christmas movie and will name it my favorite: "The Family Man"

I forgot that Ernest ever existed. Apparently, he’s big in Greece?

If you're a movie person, they're both worth a watch, although I wonder how much someone would like them seeing for the first time now.  I think there's a bit of nostalgia tied to both for me.

I actually had got a Talkboy for Christmas one year after wanting one from Home Alone 2.

I have always despised A Christmas Story, but it has its moments. I'm not counting animated holiday shorts like Charlie Brown, The Grinch, etc. Those are staples every year at our house.

    Best Action:
    Die Hard
    Lethal Weapon
    Batman Returns

    Best Comedy:
    Elf
    Home Alone
    National Lampoons
    Scrooged

    Best Family:
    Miracle on 34th St. (Original)
    Polar Express
    A Muppet Christmas Carol
    Mickey's Christmas Carol
    The Santa Claus

    Best Horror:
    Gremlins

    Best Other:
    It's a Wonderful Life

    It's a hopeless situation...

im really more of a Christmas episode guy.  80s shows, etc.  cant get enough of them. Even if they’re cheesy as hell.

    For movies tho....
    Christmas Carol (1984...George C Scott)
    It’s a Wonderful Life
    Christmas with the Kranks

are all good.  I’ll still take an Alex P Keaton Christmas episode tho...
