This is a great read! I love how he cites his references to interviews bringing context to the story. Although it is how he perceives what the band is thinking or going through during Vs. their words from the interviews provide insight and offer reassurance to his story line. I find some of this hard to process now being 20+ years later that these stories are now coming to light. Maybe the band is more comfortable disclosing information or now letting openness that ONCE they felt harmed them is now a feeling of support by those who love them (us). Very well written! He should write one for every album!!!

It's a very rare good one
I know I was born and I know that I'll die. The in between is mine.

Fact check: Crazy Mary was written by Victoria Williams and released by PJ on Sweet Relief: A Benefit for Victoria Williams. The book attributes the song to Lucinda Williams.

It’s inexcusable that no one at Bloomsbury caught that for one of their most successful publication series.
I can forgive the author. Pearl Jam fanatics aren’t exactly known for their knowledge of anything outside of Pearl Jam.
But an editor of a music series should have broader knowledge, and what they don’t know, they should research and resolve before the book ever makes it to galleys.
Lucinda Williams is a great strain of cannabis BTW.

I did not consider 5 against 1 could be considered band + BoB (?) against Eddie. An interesting thought.
Indeed!
