Just got off my first day as a sub and i just felt that i had to listen to alot of Yield. What the hell does that mean?

P.S. Pilate still blows.

when Yeild came out.. I was living in a storage unit.. literally, and I'd plug in my stereo and listen to it on repeat to fall asleep. Then I'd get up and go to work with the songs in my head.. That was a totally trippy time for me and the song Pilate really stuck out to me.. mostly cause I too had a dog, and that was ALL I had.. still have the dog, funny how that memory came up..

lyrically the entire album is very , well, trippy. i enjoy the lyrics to Pilate, but i'm not a fan of the instrumental.

That is so sad! I hope you have a better situation now. I love Yield. I love it all, what can I say.

yes my situation is MUCH better now. I had just moved from Ca to Mo and I had nowhere to go so I slept in the unit I rented to store what little I'd brought along, including Yield, and at the time the other four cds as well. That song and Push Me Pull Me were what spoke most to me.. mostly cause of what I was going through.. Now I live fat in KC and the dog he's well glad I still have him.. he's fat, happy and just turned ten this year..I'll cry when he goes in the next few years.. He's even been to see Pearl Jam once in CA, before we moved midwest. I've shared alot of memories with him, most of which I had no other human with which to share them so he got stuck listening. Obeys Listens kisses loves how true that is!!

My Dad always said that animals treated him far better than humans (poor guy) and that is why he always supports animal causes and adopts instead of buys, etc..
I have a difficult time dealing with the passing of my pets. Even my fish.
Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we lost our chocolate lab Larry. He had been a rescue from New Orleans. So I feel your pain with your dog and thinking about when he is gone.
Glad to hear that all is well. :)

i think it means, do i need $100/day this bad? there is nothing better than a strong dose of YIELD to mellow the soul and get a beautiful rhythm back 'au natural'. good luck!

  • Yield's the first I ever heard of Pearl Jam at a very influential age. Most notably; the videoclip of Do The Evolution.

    I still think it's a gem.
    C'est une belle histoire
