Do sadder love songs count? I'd put Black up there... it's the ultimate break up song (mind you, break up songs fall under the category of love songs for me).

On a more cheery note, hard to imagine is pretty good.

    Think about Other Side, actually.

And yes, You Are is another good call

(shit, answering this question was trickier than I thought!)

black is the ultimate- or maybe long road- depends on how you look at it
  • If your going for sad, Parting Ways.

    But otherwise, hmmmm...
  • Agreed to Black-still hurts me after all these years.....not sure if it counts as love song but Yellowledbetter for my husband and I is IT!~ Makes me hurt and swell.

That song... I introduced it to a friend of mine who was on the verge of breaking up with her boyfriend (also a good friend of mine).

The song reflected very well what she was going through.

But... arrgh! Do they have anything more cheerful in the way of love songs?

    ...mhmm... got it!

    'Thin Air'
  • how about "Come Back"? This song has grown on me and pulls on my heart strings....

I don't think so! I can't think of anything right this moment.

Most of their "love" songs are about loss, pain, abuse.....nothing cheery about that! :D

Parting Ways is very sad indeed, "drifting away, drifting away".....

But how can you not love "Comeback"? I also get a bit misty whenever I hear "Thumbing My Way", particularily, "I can't be free from what's locked inside of me, if there was a key, you took it in your hands".....

Black is a love song. The reason he let her go was becasue he loved her. You Are is good , Thin Air and Wash are great as well. And Hail Hail and Nothingman fall in between. But for me Black is the all time fav

Thin Air, definitely one of the better songs (best song on binaural, after light years)
