I’m watching intelligence and thoughtfulness. If I wanted a clown show, I’d watch my home movies of me in clown shoe school.

I heard that Sleepy Woke Joe Basement Biden wouldn’t do the town hall unless they went to commercial every 3.257 minutes. Seems true because he looks really sleepy and keeps wiping his eyes when they come back after 10 minutes of commercials. At least that’s what I heard.

I had to take a break tonight.  I did hear Savannah Guthrie challenged Trumpster Fire pretty good.

Didn’t watch. I hear Biden did pretty well and Trump well Trump is Trump. So overall probably beneficial to Biden. At least not harmful.

I had work to do but read some recaps.  What you said there sounds about right and HCR's letter in Mickeyrat's thread confirms it:  Biden did well, Trump did clown-show poorly.

I am glad the Biden event outdrew the Trump event. Not because I think it matters but because we don't have to hear about ratings. I am sure the Apprentice outdrew them both, though.

I cant believe these are our two choices.

Chose not to watch. I watched Pokemon with my kid instead.  Much higher level of intelligence on the screen.

Trump will be livid if he loses to Biden in the ratings.
He cares more about ratings than anything on this planet aside from maybe Ivanka.

  • neither. caught a few highlights of Trumpster Fire (love that one, @Glorified KC!) online afterwards. man, that moderator took him to task. imagine if they did that from the very start?

That moderator annoyed the fuck out of me.  I'm typically leery of those who continuously smile while asking "hard hitting" questions.

Does anyone believe either of these events contained truth, sincerity or transparency?  They're all so full of shit.

i only saw a few highlights, but i didn't notice her smiling during hard hitting questions. maybe that was nerves? who knows.

all politicians have to say what they think the majority want to hear. that's their entire job when campaigning. figuring that out. so of course there's going to be promises made that they never intend to keep, or will blame the other side for not allowing them to keep, but by and large, i actually believe that biden is passionate about people. i believe trump is passionate about himself.

    there's really no contest there.

Savannah is a former attorney and legal correspondent before she took over the Today Show.  I’ve seen her interview quite a few people on the Today Show and that is pretty much her typical mannerism while asking a “tough” question.

  • looks biden, shown on only one network, beat trump in the ratings. trump was shown on multiple channels and still lost.

  • we can't really bothsides the performances last night.

trump imploded. biden was on the air longer and even stayed afterward to answer questions from the audience. trump would never, ever do that. there is no money or ratings in it.

“Bothsides” is a word now? A verb?

I’m saying what I thought about the portions I saw. The inferences some of you make..ridiculous 🙄

    yes it is a verb.

it is when people say "ugh both sides are terrible" when there is a clear, glaring difference between the two sides. one is clearly better than the other. one clearly has a better and more positive vision than the other. one is clearly less of an asshole than the other.

i am not attacking you. i am not inferring anything. just saying that there is a clear difference in approach, temprement, and delivery of the message between the two candidates.

He may be getting tuned out, but the GOP sure as hell is trying everything in their power to manipulate the Electoral College.  I'm sure as hell not holding my breath until the votes have been counted.
