Into the Wild Survivor -- Round 2

edited April 2008 in The Porch
Round 1 was an extremely close contest, with three songs receving a heavy amount of votes. Ultimately, "The Wolf" howled out of the game, as it received 41 of a total 107 votes and was eliminated.

That leaves 10 songs still in the game. They are:

Setting Forth
No Ceiling
Far Behind
Rise
Long Nights
Tuolumne
Hard Sun
Society
End of the Road
Guaranteed

Once again, post your pick for the one song you would like to have ELIMINATED from what's left (ie, the song you like the least). Again, you may only post ONCE, otherwise all of your votes will be tossed out.

I will try to end this round and post results tomorrow afternoon.

It would be easy to vote off the song without words (Tuloumne), but after remembering the chills I got when hearing it play during Ed's intro at the solo shows, there's no way I could do that yet.

Thus, I am voting for "End of the Road" again.

    End of the road.

I think it would be much easier, and more people would vote if it were in a poll format. Plus you wouldn't have to worry about people voting twice.

I know polls only have 8 options, so just make Guaranteed a write-in candidate. I'm sure that it's not going anywhere next round.

  • I actually don't agree with the poll thing... this way, it's a lot more ecxiting to see which one is eliminated when the result i posted the next day! if it was a poll you could see the 'scores' along the game... just my thoughts...

    well, I vote for Rise...

    Newcomer to the game, eh?

Back when we did the Survivor series for the other albums, we had a poll that garnered a shitload of responses about whether or not people would prefer to have these threads in poll format.

The overwhelming response was that people liked playing the way it is now, without a poll (mostly, because there is more excitement -- and less chance of being biased by others' opinions -- when you can't see up-to-the-second-results).

Anyhow, I'm not using polls for this game, so let that be the end of the discussion. Although if you would like to run your own game using polls, be my guest.

Yep, that's pretty much what we decided long ago...
