I couldn’t care less that Bobo was having fun in a dark theatre. People do that shit all the time. The problem is the hypocrisy. If a dem was caught doing that, she’d go all “save the children” on them.
if i were a dem us representative and i got caught on security camera receiving a handy in a crowded theater in front of a kid sitting in the row behind me, i think i would probably resign in disgrace.

this is behavior expected of a teenager, not an adult that represents hundreds of thousands of people in washington.
Weren't some people just talking about how cool it was that one Democrat candidate live streamed their sex life the other day?

I'm trying to figure out when morals are ok?
i am not the "some people" you are referring to, so don't ask me.

also, for her to blame her divorce for her behavior is pretty shitty too. it is a cop out. it is a play for sympathy. many of us carry pain or trauma from a recent breakup, but you don't see all of us acting like this in public.

lastly, this person that is always talking about her morals and her christian values has no business forcing her morals on everybody else. maybe if she hadn't cheated on her husband she might be able to get away with it. but the minute someone like her starts telling everyone else how to live she loses any moral high ground she may have had.

I'm going to assume that that's a serious question and offer a serious answer:

I think context and agency are key factors, TBH.

If Lauren Boebert is going through a divorce and in the meantime is getting some action, okay, it's none of my business. Whether I approve or not is irrelevant. But "fondling in a public place where children are present," that's really not okay, and it wouldn't be okay if you were doing it or if I were doing it, with our spouses or with some random person or whatever. Get a freaking room and screw each other's brains out, I really don't care.

I'm less current on the "news" since Elon blocked non-registered users from accessing Twitter (thank you!), but, I... think? that you're referring to a Dem candidate who is a sex worker? I'm okay with that. Sex work is work, and sex seems to play a pretty large role in most people's lives, and it's a natural part of life. Is she engaging in sex acts at the mall? No? Okay. Is she being coerced? No? Okay.

So rape is bad, sexual assault is bad, human trafficking is bad, sexual harassment is bad, revenge porn is bad, what Larry Nasser and the guy Gym Jordan enabled did is horrible. Why: Lack of consent, lack of agency.  Being a sex worker? It's called the world's oldest profession for a reason. Frankly, I think our country would be a lot better off if people quit getting all worked up over the sex other people are or are not having, and worried more about pervasive violence.
The point is every asshole has their own moral line. Making out in a theater doesn't cross the threshold of a poor moral decision for me. Showing your junk to the internet on the other hand though very weird imo also doesn't seem to break any moral boundaries for me, however if it was MTG  I think that would not be viewed as positively.  Let's not forget Bobert  allegedly was a sex worker and I don't remember people being so open about celebrating her alleged sex work.  Morals are like religion it's whatever someone wants it to be.  I think bobert is a crap person and I get being upset about the hypocrisy but vaping and making out in a theater is small potatoes. Of all the bullshit bobert has done this registers as like a 2 on the 1-10 scale of shifty bobert behavior.  Lastly her base doesn't give a shit and no matter how much anyone tries to smear her with this they will likely think it makes her cooler, or that now they have a chance.

Sure, everyone has their own red lines. And then there are laws, and then there are the sort of contractual relationships that exist when, say, you purchase a ticket to a theatrical performance or a Pearl Jam concert. She clearly was in violation of venue policies and she was ejected. If you start pushing and shoving down front in the pit at a PJ show, Ed will have your ass thrown out, regardless of whether you think you are violating any moral codes or not.

And I'd disagree that morals are wholly random and arbitrary. The ten commandments have been the foundation of western society for a very long time: don't lie, don't steal, don't kill people, don't mess with your neighbor's wife -- these are pretty widely accepted standards of behavior that allow us to live together in something resembling peaceful, civilized society.

I don't know if anyone is celebrating the Dem candidate being a sex worker. I don't celebrate people's careers, whether they're cam girls or neurosurgeons. What sort of person are they? That's what matters. I don't care that Boebert was an escort, either. I do worry about her lack of intelligence, education and integrity.

I agree that this won't affect the base at all: their orange god-king has been indicted four times for 90+  crimes, found to be responsible for sexual assault (and is alleged to have assaulted numerous other women), and nobody cares. On the other hand, she just barely beat Adam Frisch last time, by some 500 votes, and there's a chance that her behavior is embarrassing enough to bring some people off the sidelines and to the voting booth.
All those who seek to destroy the liberties of a democratic nation ought to know that war is the surest and shortest means to accomplish it.

Don’t kink shame me for wanting a handjob in a public setting. We’re above that sort of thing around here.

oh, he's never serious on the internet
Was the guys dick actually out? That's another story.  I thought this was all taking place over the clothes?
I don’t think these people know what a hand job is.
Are you under the impression masturbation’s only possible without clothing?
No, but generally speaking that term is used in a certain context. At least I’ve never heard it used when everyone clothed before.

You don’t want to be held accountable or answer for things that “some people” were just talking about?

    Weird

Lastly her base doesn't give a shit and no matter how much anyone tries to smear her with this they will likely think it makes her cooler, or that now they have a chance.
groping each other is making out now?

However you wanna call it I'm not kink shaming someone if they like to grope, gross, but it's their planet too.

But it’s not her movie theater.

I was at a hip concert here in NY about 14 years ago, and more than a few couples of ex pat Canadians were going at it in the pit. Like really going at it during the show. To the point a few times I moved further back from the stage.

I am all for young love, but to be subject to that up close was frankly disgusting. We are all paying good money, whether to see a concert or a movie. We do not own these public spaces. We should be treating everyone there with respect. Plus Boeberts behavior is apparently illegal in CO-

Are you all really defending a dry rub at Beetlejuice? And he blatantly grabbed her boob. Give me a break.  The whole event was pure white trash.

I’m talking about the term “handy”.

Not defending. 😂 just calling it what it really is. Groping. It is gross in public, no doubt.

So am I. Handjobs can happen with or without clothing. Use your imagination, I guess?
