TOTD-inspired virtual event & benefit

Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to let you know about a virtual theatre production I've been working on that "opens" next week. It's a story inspired by the Temple of the Dog record and all ticket sales will go to benefit Musicares and Road Recovery.

The play is literally set "in music" as the characters are drawn together into this kind of other dimension because they happen to be listening to the record at the same time. It's a story about how music can affect and connect us, even over time and space - which I thought was appropriate for these particular times.

Also, I'm not sure how many of you may have seen any theatre-type performance since March, but we are NOT just doing talking heads in Zoom boxes! We're really pushing the medium by using a broadcast software and chromakey technology to put people together in the same space. So it should be a cool show about being a fan of music, and TOTD specifically. (And it only runs about an hour too :) )

I'm pasting the poster image below (which we're printing and you can also purchase as part of a ticket bundle), and you can read more (and see our teaser video) here: http://playlistseattle.com/upcoming-show/

Tickets are only $10, so I hope you will check it out - and help us raise a lot of money for two organizations that are really doing a lot to support musicians right now!

Thanks!

Kelly

Here's an interview with one of our actors (who is also a big fan of the band!) You can see a bit about how we're working the chromakey technology too.

Very cool! Thanks for posting about this!  I attended the theater production when I was in town for the 2016 TOTD shows. 👏

    Hey Everyone!

We have ONE more live show left - tonight at 7pm PDT. We'd love to raise as much money as possible for our beneficiaries, so we're going to leave the show accessible after the performance for about a week. So you can buy at ticket today and then watch any time! Click here for the info and links based on your location.

And, to give you another sneak peek, here's a fun scene from the show itself:
