I think Stone has a good radio voice. I like the song, but it sounds a bit poppy to me.

i love the song, especially the chorus....heres what rosie wrote over at the TSIS.

    enjoy.

apparently baccanal was a club in san diego that ed hung out at....

    rosie:
This song simply illustrates the differences in the various generations of "mankind". It also conveys an element of the inevitablility of evolution. The contrasting images of the general activities of the generations, e.g "you'll be going out with disco" and "I'll be playing with my magazines", display the evolution of various ideals and expectations of society as time has passed.

The song proceeds to suggest that the present generation display an element of...fakeness (trying to think of an appropriate word!), "it's all just inadvertant simulation". Also the 'evolution' of the human race is suggested by the line "a pattern in all mankind".

A song that by no means falls short of the amazingly high, Pearl Jam standard.

I really like it also. I think it probably is the Stone thing. It's not what people are used to hearing.
are we going to the same place? if so, can i come?
