Is the Seattle stream full colour and is it edited?

Seems the whole other thread got locked by Sea, so I'm moving over my two questions in here:

1. Is it in black and white (like the screens are live) or in full colour all the way through?

2. Has it been edited for this stream/release - or is it a recording of the screens with the real-time editing from the concert?

I don't recall the version we saw at MoPop being BW all the way through. I don't believe the Fenway show I saw at House of Blues in 2016 was BW all the way through.

The MoPop viewing was part black and white and color, I believe it was b/w early then moved onto color (probably shot that way for best outdoor viewing at the concert).

Maybe they can colorize it like Turner used to do.

Pretty sure HOB Fenway 18 was in colour, but wouldn’t be shocked if someone remembers it differently.  I remember really enjoying the production.  I had bad seats for the show itself and seeing it replayed the next night at HOB made me feel like I had actually been there.

There is a preview on Facebook that shows both black & white and color. I will speculate with a high level of confidence the main set will be black & white and then they will turn the color on during the second half of the show at some point. This is the same as the Fenway 18 and most live shows since.

Is this, for a 10 dollar stream - lunacy, correct @Santos L. Halper

    And also:

It is a produced concert that is professionally filmed with the mastered soundboard audio.

Yes, It is the same footage shown on the screens most likely, but they have a very experienced team that films the footage for the screen. This is not the old days where they use some local guys from the venue.

It’s value is relative to the fan. Some will find it offensive, others will be super excited and wish they had one every week like this.

I would prefer the ability to have it in full color and downloaded in full HD1080i quality, but I would gladly  rent it for $10.

If anyone feels it is not a good value they shouldn’t rent it.

Super excited for this. I drop $15 for 90 minute shows on NoonChorus, which I’m happy to do. So, $10 for a 3 hour plus show and my favorite band? Happy to.

Couldn’t agree more, black and white, colour doesn’t matter to me. We’re getting a pro shot recording of an amazing show for $10. Absolute no brainer

If you like Brandi Carlile the $10 is worth it just to see how happy she was that night.

Nugs does the "live" stuff on the website, and canned stuff on the app.  Is this one going to be viewable on the web, or app only?

Is there a way to watch it on a TV if you don't have a Computer, only Android Devices and an Amazon fire tv box?
  • anyone who complains about this never had the joy of going to a Blockbuster and renting your favorite movie over and over again

Well, I'm not complaining. I just doubt I'll notice the difference between Youtube and this stream on my phone.

Wish there was a Nugs app for the FireTV but they don't at the moment.

Which devices are compatible with the Pay-Per-View to watch on my TV? Print

Modified on: Sun, 30 Aug, 2020 at 11:05 AM

There are many options for watching a Pay-Per-View on your TV. Here are some suggestions:

    • HDMI from Mac or PC to TV - most desktop and laptop MACs and PCs have an HDMI port that you can connect to your TV directly for audio and video. Connect the HDMI to your TV prior to booting up your computer otherwise you may have sync issues. Once connected use the Chrome or Firefox browser to access your streams from your My Stash page on nugs.net or nugs.tv
    • AppleTV - Download the nugs.net APP from the AppleTV App Store or "Airplay" from iOS devices or "Mirror" from your MAC browser.
    • ChromeCast - "Cast" from the Google Chrome browser on your PC or MAC.
*Casting from mobile devices is NOT supported. **CASTING 4K Webcasts is NOT supported
    • Android or iOS devices - Watch on your device using nugs.net app under Stash > My Webcasts.
    • SmartTVs - We do not have any native SmartTV apps at this time. You can find information on mirroring to your TV at these links - FireOS - RokuTV - AndroidTV

SMART TV's with proprietary software (like Samsung's Tizen and LG's WebOS) are NOT compatible with nugs.net streams and may not work properly.
