I went to see Dylan and Neil Young there last year. I was expecting the worst on the sound but it wasn’t actually as bad as I thought it would be. I’ll be going again anyway

The sound was poor for PJ in 2010. It was absolutely awful for Soundgarden after that.

I think they’ve invested in new kit since then, but I still don’t think I’ll bother with Hyde Park again.

Yeah sound at PJ 2010 was pretty average, but sound at the Soundgarden show was indeed totally awful, such a huge let down that day. I saw Eric Clapton there in 2018 though and the sound was really good, I have no worries about it going in to PJ next year.

Sound was fine when I was dragged kicking and screaming by my wife to see Michael Buble there 2 years ago!

I’ve not been back since the Soundgarden shambles. The Cure, Blur and Faith No More have all been temptations, but I just don’t like the venue at all. So I doubt I’ll be going to this one.

I went to the 2012 Soundgarden headline show as well but never noticed any issues with the sound. Was this the 2014 support slot you are talking about?

2012. Didn’t bother in 2014.

We thought the sound was terrible. Way too quiet and got lost in the awful weather conditions.  

Another mate, who loves Soundgarden more than anyone I’ve ever met, loved it. Not sure anything was going to change that though!
