My friend and I were just talking about the end of Black and we were speaking about how that part just gives us chills and he said

"This is one of the best riffs in rock" and then he said "One of the best Lyrics written by Pearl jam"

I thought it was pretty cute.

Discuss the chills and the amazing tags too.

It's my hubby's favorite song. You can here his do, do, do's on some boots! Pistoia, though is one I remember fondly. :)
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."

I got a bit emotional (hehe...) when i saw this one live. Its an amazing feeling to be in the audience listening to the whole arena singing the outro with the band.

What's up with the amount of Canadians on this board anyway? It's been going on for years...

Not that I'm complaining.. I love you guys, it's just odd. :p

All that dododo dododo....just reminds me of the terrible "experiment" in Vancouver 2005 when Ed had us whistle the end of Black...not the feedback part, but the actual song. I'm still traumatized ;)

But I've been practicing in case we ever have to do it again! In fact, I tried whistling at the Bridge last year...but I sucked, and blew...all at once...

Dalai Lama—To say that humility is an essential ingredient in our pursuit of spiritual transformation may seem to be at odds with what I have said about the need for confidence. But there is clearly a distinction to be made between valid confidence or self-esteem, and conceit - which we can describe as an inflated sense of importance, grounded in a false image of self.

It wasn't cool - it was hell! ;) the feedback part was funny, even if it did give everyone in the room some hearing damage, but the actual whistling was horrible...like I said, I blew AND sucked at the same time!! Ed, what the hell were you thinking???? Oh well. it was fun to be a part of such an oddity!

Black was pretty special in both Lisbon concerts, last year. Chilling "do do do's"... 20.000 souls singing it in a pavillion or theater has an overwelming effect on people. Saw grown men shedding a tear or two, there... :D Man, I know I was! But then again, i'm not a grown man...
Vedder was a bit drunk and got all emotional. Bless him for that... :D one of the best musical moments of my life.
  • Isn't it too too too too too too-too???
    What's up with that D. It's a T!!! Or I've been doing it wrong. Maybe it's not a clear T but it isn't a D eighter.

    :D
The worst enemies of music? Money and Mathematics. Combined with music, they both do the exact opposite of what they're supposed to do. Money makes music cheap, mathematics makes it stupid and predictable.
