What is the meaning of Black. I've always thought it was abuot a previous girlfriend or something of that sort. Can anyone help me out on this one that would be awesome.

    I believe the song refers to a prostitute. I know that songs harsh but one of the bootlegs I have Ed is talking about it being a three part piece. I maybe try to find it and share more

    I thought that the three part story was the one of: once, footsteps and alive.
    however, not so long ago, I realised that it could be about a prostitute

    i think it's sth that noone can explain in someway.black contains so meaningful but mysterious lyrics....but it is clear that it was written for a very very special love..;)

    I just need to figure out where. If I have the chance I'll listen to my cd's and try to find it. I did get my lines crossed on the trio but I know It's out there.
