Take The Long Way is the most underrated one for me.

I love 7 o’clock. It’s weird though, whenever I want to listen to it, which is often(10, 15 times a day), I always listen to Alright first. I just love how Alright ends and then 7 o’clock begins.

YES!  That sequence is so perfect.  I love both those songs but 7 is SO good.  That said, I'm SO biased.  I don't hit skip on any song on this album.  In fact, lately I keep time by it.  I was putting a new net on my kids' trampoline and I thought..."Hey, that took less than an hour, I'm only half way through Retrograde right now."

Ha! I feel ya. The other day I was kind of deciding how long of a hike I wanted to take and I decided on 2 full listens of Gigaton.
As far as skipping songs, I do find myself skipping over first 4 and heading straight to Alright and listening all the way through. Crazy how Retrograde has grown on me. Didn’t really like it at first, but love it now.

Notice the trend of Seven O' Clock. Fucking Nostradamus walking around here amongst you regular fans.

Also, we're seeing a Leonard Cohen afterlife for Stone Gossard's Buckle up with a 45 % increase with no help other than the magic of a Stone Gossard composition.

  • I LOVE 7 o'Clock so much (what @Hi! Said) I just want to keep listening to it. River Cross, Alright, DOTC, Retrograde, Superblood, Buckle Up, Comes Then Goes are also favourites.  I love the way PJ just keep getting better, clearly the best band ever!

In fact I have a confession to make: if I listen to anything else (particularly when driving) I feel like I'm being unfaithful and it's never as good anyway. I'm not sure if anyone else has this?

There's a gigaton ranking thread on here somewhere - so exciting.

Best song on the album imo. Love the build, by the time we get to “what’s to be done” it’s HUGE. Fantastic lyrics.

    Yes, a few seconds later

    what’s to be done?
carve a path for river’s reign
    much to be done
    ocean’s rising with the waves

EV did this quite a bit on this album. DOTC has the same thing; ignore to endure.

Will he get them right live? Probably not
