This album and Covid

I may be extremely high right now but this album feels like it was written while this pandemic was happening. I mean, Who Ever Said can literally translate into right now with Covid. “It’s all in the delivery, said the messenger who is now dead” newscasters, preachers, dying after saying not to worry. It’s like they weren’t worried about it here in the states media wise and I can see that interpretation although I know it was written for something else. DotC lyrics around being “When every tomorrow is the same as before, numbers keep falling off the calendar floor, we’re stuck in our boxes, we must open no more”

crazy

yeah, this album was/is about climate change.....but some of the concepts fit well with the current pandemic.

That said....as climate change continues, pandemics are supposed to get worse and worse, so its almost on point anyway.

I’ve been saying this to everyone since release day. It really does feel like they wrote it as this pandemic was unfolding. The lyrics are on point and some of Ed’s best IMO. The whole band nailed this one. PJ is always ahead of the game.

It's truly eerie how you can pull at least a couple lyrics off each song that seem to directly comment on the COVID pandemic. It's as if it was written specifically for this time. Crazy.

They are so much intertwined for me that I'm sure many years from now this album will bring me right back to the once unthinkable, months away from work, family, and friends.

A very poignantly timed and written record for sure. I’ve just been devouring it since the lp arrived at my door.
