Boston 9/4/18- what’s next

When I saw Pearl Jam perform at Fenway Park on September 4, 2018 I didn’t think much of it. It was a good show, with a solid set list and a fun crowd. At the time I thought... damn I cannot wait until the 2019 tour.

2019 started and the rumors were sparse. I guess they are going on their first true break in a long while.  They earned it... 2020 will be insane.

Early 2020 and it was worth the wait. Here comes Album #11, the tour looks stacked, rumors of a fall tour too, this is perfect.

Then all hell broke loose.  NA postponed. Europe postponed. No set dates anywhere in sight.

In the grand scheme of things, this is only music and concerts don’t mean much. But deep down we know that these type of events keep us going and help us with everyday issues.

I hope we can get back to usual life sooner rather than later. It blows my mind that 9/4/18 was the last Pearl Jam show. It’s even worse that Sea Hear Now and Ohana probably won’t happen.

I hope everyone can stay safe and think of the good times. I’m looking forward to rocking out to PJ with you all once again.

I've been thinking a lot about a comment Ed made in 2016 at Fenway Night 2: "We're all alone in this together."

True^^^i think that's a star Anna song. We all know it's not just music.
I'm a very lucky one now, but it still can be sad.

I thought both night 2's for the Fenway shows were better. Didn't realize how meaningful 2018 was.

It makes me happy they decided to do that little stadium tour in 2018.  It wasn't a big tour, and many of us travelled to those handful of shows, but if they hadn't done it... this stretch would be so much longer :(

I love having concert tickets in the house.   Having that thing to look forward to, it's always a good thing.

I was just thinking about this show and a lot of the same things, OP. Who would have thought it would be the better part of 3 years, or more, before we could see them live again.
