How does she continue to be so great. Her albums get better every time. This one is better than perfect. Everything about it. Even the cover. She is a national treasure.

I didn’t even know it was out. I knew it was coming. And after hearing this wonder of human ingenuity, life is still beautiful when it is being played.

I haven't listened to the new album yet but I absolutely love Fiona Apple.

She's one of the few artists I would actually like to sit down and talk to. One of the most interesting humans on the planet.

Just wait till you hear what she has accomplished on this new album. You think she was interesting before. Get ready for your mind to be blown.

I just ordered the vinyl through her site. It came with a digital download. I'll have to figure that out later.

Where is her site? For some reason I can't find it. In any case, I heard that the LP will be out in June.

    Never mind. Found it!

Rough Trade UK is taking pre-orders for the vinyl. So it will most likely be everywhere.

Is there anything different about their pressing v. the one in her store? Thanks in advance

She is so good!  I love her performances in "Echo in the Canyon"!

“The fear of death follows from the fear of life. A man [or woman] who lives fully is prepared to die at any time.”
Variously credited to Mark Twain or Edward Abbey.

no one knows. It won't be released until June. At the very least, no. Probably not. It may be the same cut but pressed at different plants. These are basic assumptions that you can make based on how other large records are produced.

Color wise, no one has said anything. She's never had colored wax, so it stands to reason this sin;t any different unless advertised.

The opening song I Want You To Love Me is a powerful tone setter then right into the dazzling Shameika followed by the revelatory title track and finally the perfectly apt Under The Table and you've just hit a grand-slam with the first 4 songs. As great as those first 4 songs are somehow Newspaper goes to an even different level. The rest of the album is unrelenting in its sheer brilliance. The reviews this album is getting is reminding me of when OK Computer came out. 100 meta-critic rating from a combined 25 reviews from around the world is crazy including the first Pitchfork 10 since Kanye's My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Usually this isn't the instrument that stands out on most albums but, the drums/percussion is just exceptional! At this point with this album she's entered for me rarefied air and I've been a huge fan since Tidal. She's batting a thousand 5/5 with her releases.

Everything you just said times 100. Name another artist who’s five releases are 5 masterpieces but they all get better than the last. Each album
is a step beyond the prior one. This album is a jump outta the galaxy. This album brought tears to my eyes with its beauty on my first and second listen and I don’t cry at funerals.

If taking forever between albums brings magic like this, Gigaton, and Fear Inoculum, then it’s all worth the wait. What a great time for new music, bring on the new Deftones.
    Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.
