When I first saw the video for this song I was mesmerized. Its in my top 10 favorite PJ songs, near #1. I love the bass on this song. Jeff's style truly is unique.

I have SOOOO much love for this song as well. It's absolutely gorgeous. It really is hard to narrow it down when it comes to PJ songs but yep, it will always be at the top of any list for me.

Ooooh and that video!! :o!! LOVE IT! It fits so perfectly too. :o This bass is indeed hypnotizing. And damn, Ed's voice is just beyond words................

  • Very soothing song. I always put it on when I want to chill out.

    the currents will shift
    glide me towards...
    you know something's left
    and we're all allowed
    to dream of the next
of the next time we touch...
    you don't have to stray
    the oceans away
    waves roll in my thoughts
    hold tight the ring...
    the sea will rise...
    please stand by the shore...
i will be... i will be there once more...

    beautiful.

  • Eddie has never done anything else vocally quite like it.

i love the video for oceans, its beautiful, the guys are cute (ed and stone look quite amazing), but i can't help but feel that it's such a gay video! not that i have anything against gays, but still. all those half naked guys jumping around, totally gay.

Dreams feel real while we're in them. It's only when we wake up that we realize something was actually strange.

I missed it by 3 shows. I desperately wanted it as an opener in Winnipeg or Thunder Bay. I thought they'd play it for Thunder Bay because, you know, it's on a HUGE lake, close to an ocean as they were gonna get till they got to the east coast. Oh well, Present Tense was a pretty darn good opener. :)
No longer overwhelmed it seems so simple now.
  • not a big fan of Oceans, like a lot of Ten songs. sorry.

I've been really lucky. They've opened with it twice when I've seen them. Once in St. Louis on the Yield tour and once in Nashville on the last tour. Absolutely amazing both times!!
  • I think this song represents Ed true feelings about one of his biggest friends...I read somewhere that Eddie would love to be more like the ocean...pure action...
and the music...so inspiring...one of the best PJ songs...

    see ya
