Do you ever notice when O'Brien is not around, Pearl Jam get a little bit more Pink Floydy?

I like Brendan better than the Riot Act guy but the Gigaton production outdoes everything.
Up here so high I start to shake, Up here so high the sky I scrape, I've no fear but for falling down, So look out below I am falling now, Falling down,...not staying down, Could’ve held me up, rather tear me down, Drown in the river

Reminds me about all the conversation we had about production on binaural.  That one was also not O'Brien.

Bring back Josh Evans. I’d love the band to try out a producer that is going to push them as well. Someone like Steve Lillywhite or Rick Rubin

Josh did a great job. Lillywhite would be good also, for a Time Out of Mind feel.

Rick Rubin killed it with Audioslave.
I died. I died and you just stood there. I died and you watched. I died and you walked by and said no. I'm dead.

O'Brien was great on every album except Lightning Bolt.  Gigaton is awesome from a production standpoint.

It's not like he wasn't around...from what I remember from the liner notes, he plays on a couple of the tracks.
