“She was a stunner and I am stunned”
Haven’t heard Hitchhiker in a long while but that part of SBWM makes me think of WS - every time. The layer of vocals and the way it’s not sung but “said”.
And he still gives his love,
he just gives it away...

I can’t place it exactly, his inflection, the delivery? But I know what you’re saying. There’s something familiar. If the SBWM line was more mellow, it could fit into Whale Song.

It reminds of Billie Eillesh, "Bad Guy".  No one will agree.

After listening to Whale Song: I was way off.
It was Hitchhiker that the singing style in “she was a stunner and I am stunned” reminds me of. The layer of vocals...
And he still gives his love,
    he just gives it away...
