    I love the "Kerouac sense of time" stanza in Quick Escape - the surreal nature of the lyrics mixed with the weight of the situation is to me brilliant imagery

    ^ I love that phrase too. There are many eloquent euphemisms for death on this album. Ed's vocabulary is sophisticated; his messages' wise. We could start a thread on words we have learned from the band. What was that word for large sea mammals? Leviathans.

    Maybe not the BEST one but I really like "love is friction, ripe for comfort."   The contrast of the two sensations but at the same time, realizing you're able to experience both as part of one emotion.  Really well phrased.
