Comes then Goes has a melodic element that reminds me of that song written for Garry Shandling by Ed

Did you ever hear the song that Ed wrote in 2016 that he sang/performed with Judd Apatow?  It was performed at some event to celebrate the life/passing of Garry Shandling.
I guessed that the song was entitled "Dear Mind."  I liked it very much.  If you haven't heard it, you probably won't know what I'm talking about...

Anyway, I liked that song, I thought it had a lovely melody and the words were very good too.  So, I'm glad that part of the melody showed up in a song on Gigaton.
:)

Thank you Pearl Jam for this new music!
It is so welcome and needed in this difficult time of social distancing and Trump in the White House.

    Yes.
It's just a melodic phrase here and there in Comes then Goes that reminded me of this older song.

That hard strumming bit he does on Far Behind is in there too. Also pops up on Who Ever Said.
