And for argument sake, the foxy mops, davanitas, etc..

Which song in Pearl Jam’s catalogue would you consider their most “out of character?”

Bugs. If that does not count I would say Who You Are or Infallible especially when they were released.

Nice. I think Who You Are was my first thought, too.

I honestly have not listened to it in a couple of years so maybe it is not that out of character and my memory is failing me but when it was released in 2013 I remember thinking this is completely different than anything else they have done before. Then again maybe fresh is the word I am looking for.

There's no way that's a Pearl Jam song and should never be played at a Pearl Jam show.

Brought to you by the guys the wrote Blood?

The more and more I listen to Clairvoyants the more it sounds like Pearl Jam. And yes it has a different sound and there’s absolutely not a typical Pearl Jam song. It just fits better with the album and the song book than when I first heard it

I actually agree. I just omitted it to avoid mass
consensus! And somehow, I don’t know why, but bugs and the throw away tracks don’t seem out of character either.

Maybe it’s just ‘cause I grew  up with them.

That’s called a band growing up.  That’s called maturity. That’s called versatility!  Look at songs like Lukin and Off He Goes - on the same record!
