I DID notice that on the binding, but did not think that would mean another album.  And dont think it will happen. haha.

  • Take it with a grain of salt but a person on the Steve Hoffman forums has this to say...

Ok so I have spoken to a friend in the know, take it as you like, I will not reveal who they are.

Pearl Jam had 40 songs, selected 26 which are all recorded and a second volume is ready to go when the band decide.

  • Figured I would post that in this thread - not that I am believing necessarily a random post but figured it wouldn't hurt to share the post here

From the post on reddit, I'm pretty convinced that this is just Part 1 Part 2 will drop at random sometime.

Although this album is so good that I can't imagine them having another one just as good. Would be insane. Regardless, I'm just gonna enjoy this one as much as I can and whatever comes next comes next.

I'm hearing that the CD says "Side A" on it, is that true? If so then I'm 100% on bored with this theory. Only having half the symbol on the binding and then having Side A on the CD would confirm it in my head lol.

It just seemed too random to only have half.  Although maybe it’s just from looking through no code for so long when it came out.  lol

  • If this was any other previous album with these clues I would say no.  But considering the 7 year gap between Lightning Bolt and Gigaton, to me there is no way there isn't a ton of material that could make up another full length album

I don't know if there is an actual planned "sequel" album however I do think the wait time between this new album and the next will be considerably less either way

Such a vague answer. And mixing 12 songs doesn’t mean they didn’t record many more than that. We shall see.

I would love nothing more than this to be true. But feels like a serious long shot.

Hey in this current climate they got plenty of time to play around in their home studios and get creative!
I’m pretty certain the tour will be their greatest priority though. NA, Europe, SA and Australia all deserve a tour in the next year or so.

You want to believe Josh Evans or some random unnamed person on the internet??  As much as I would love this rumor to be true I dont think Josh Evans answer was vague at all.  Seems pretty honest and direct actually.  He's basically saying they have lots of ideas in various stages of completion.  They didnt mix anything else so he doesn't even know how complete any songs are.  So that doesn't sound at all like they have 14 songs all finished waiting for a later release.

True. He could also just be trying not to give away too much.
