    That is a great performance.   

    My favorite is probably Hail, Hail as it was the first time I saw them live on a late night show.  Love the vibe of the performance.

    VH1 honor the WHO in 2008 was was unbelievable (albeit covers). They stole the show! I don’t think anything tops that for me

    Edit : I was going off thinking this was based on more recent performances. MTV Unplugged and Animal on the MTV Music awards set the bar for sure .

    I don't dislike any of their TV performances, but anything from the 90's automatically goes to the top of the list. First live performance of them I ever saw live was Hail, Hail on Letterman and that is the best version of that song ever. Porch and Not For You on SNL are epic as well. Pretty much anything on Letterman or SNL has been great. Loved that they did Severed Hand in '06 too. Hope they are back on SNL with some Gigaton tunes this spring.

    Mother takes the cake for me.  It was a surprise performance when aired on Fallon.  Like PJ’s version over PF with EV’s deep vocals.  Gossard’s acoustic and McCready’s solo were highlights. It’s in my top 5 PJ songs I like hearing live.  Another topic but sure would like to hear PJ cover LZ’s Babe I’m Gonna Leave You.

    I agree this. Apart from the small lyrical flub, Ed sounds wonderful and this is how I like his voice best. He doesn't seem to use the lower register as much anymore which makes me sad. He sounds perfect here.

    That performance of All Night is absolutely killer. The band are super tight, sounds almost the same as the studio version. Ed's vocals on point, too.

    Top 3 would be Hail Hail, and then the two I just mentioned.

    Is there a list of all PJ’s TV performances (at least American)? Cronological preferably.

    It begins and ends with Animal and RITFW with Neil at the 1993 VMAs.  Everything else is window dressing.
    His eminence has yet to show.
