I do believe that this means that she dreams of a more colorful and vibrant life for herself. Most of us dream without the color images, so I guess this is a great way to express the hopes of dreams of a woman who is trapped in a relationship.

Allthou I have something to add.

I think sadness and depression should be mentioned in reference to blue as well as loneliness, maybe even more so than black.
I think black is stronger than blue, like the despair you mentioned or greef. But then again you do tend to see the world in black when your depressed.
And, well, ....... not to be raining on your parade, but I wouldn't think blue to be possitive or optimistic. It's a cold color. Positivity is something warm and pleasant I would say positivity is better expessed by using yellow.
Also blue is a very rational color and not to come across as a cynic (witch I actuale am) that kinda rules out anything positive

Green also symbolizes hope, better things.

And I do want to add the color purple.

Purple - magic
- mystic
- the unknown
purple does combine nicely with black.
The night is black and that can be good
To me black expresses chances, unforseen posibilities
But also just as red expresses pain black does the same.

I do have a problem with green in combination with love.
Shouldn't Love be under red or pink

And to end this edit; I really did like your add maybe it doesn't seem that way. It just triggerd me in to a responce maybe the next person thinks differently.

In My Opinion......." Red " is the color of rage. i think its about an enraged girlfriend or wife not being happy with the one shes with.....or at least trying to break out to find herself...
