Pearl Jam Nagoya Japan 2003

New episode talking about a really unique Riot Act era show where the band experimented a bit with a jammy improv and a different take on Immortality. Check it out here:
Hi, I host a Pearl Jam Podcast. We go back to some of the classic shows in their history and break down the entire setlist front to back. From historic perspective, to performances, to setlist construction, to fan stories. We do our best to capture the magic that is their live act and help you relive those memories, or if you weren't there, maybe turn you on to a show you've never heard before.

Live On 4 Legs can be found on Apple Podcast, Spotify and any other major podcast platform. But please support our website and check out the episodes archived there. Oh, and the Concertpedia as well (for you Five Horizons and Two Feet Thick fans, we've picked up where they've left off)

Often wondered if the issue with how this boot "sounds" is how Brett attacked setting up the recording mics for this facility.  Maybe it was just too tight to have multiple or any in audience mics.   If you compare the sound on this boot to most of the 2003 it is much much less harsh on the ears.  The one huge downside to the 2003 boots, while the band is a bit more "upfront" than the 2000 boots, there also tends to be distorted sound when you try to turn the volume up.  Things redline and distort and many of the boots just sound hard on the ears.   I suspect that was a symptom of the speed at which they tried to mix them, whereas in 2000, it was not a race to get them into people's hands.
His eminence has yet to show.
