On VH1 classic, they are doing the seven ages of rock and right now they are doing the alternative period. So far focusing on REM and Nirvana, but have shown some clips of Mudhoney, and some others from the beginning of the period. Expecting to see Ed and the boys shortly. It just started.

They talk about Pearl Jam for less than a minute, and the only thing they do discuss is Kurt Cobain's opinion on the band.
"If my thoughts, dreams, could be seen, they'd probably put my head, in a guillotine, but it's alright ma, it's life and life only."

That was an absolutly poor production...when it came to alt rock. Pearl Jam's impact was far bigger than a minor mention.

    What bullshit!
"Had my eyes peeled both wide open, and I got a glimpse...of my innocense, got back my inner sence, baby got it...still got it"

Eh, this isn't the best documentary series I have seen when it comes to the history of rock music. Their format of basically focusing on 2 or 3 bands per episode really leaves a lot of untouched material. I have seen the Alternative episode numerous times and to anyone who wasn't around in that era, watching this for some insight would probably make the viewer walk away thinking that R.E.M and Nirvana were the only bands of that era. ( I will say though that I was glad to see Black Flag being mentioned for their importance of spreading their sound and D.I.Y. ethics.) The next episode is about the British underground and the bands of focus are the Smiths and Oasis.

In all honesty, I think a good documentary about the underground would probably be about 12 hours long:)

I too thought it was a waste of time. The only band from the "grunge" era to survive and barely a mention.
