Safetix in Apple wallet

I put my tickets in Apple wallet, but there is no barcode on the ticket.  Has anyone used this before?  Is this right or should I just stick using the TM account?  Trying not to hold up the line in Hamilton.  Thanks

Sounds good.  It does say hold near reader.  Not sure what it’s going to read, but I’ll go with that.  Thanks

When I pull up the ticket it says to hold near reader so I am assuming that it works like an Air Drop.  I will just wait to hear how it works out at the shows before mine.

What is the benefit of putting them in the Apple Wallet vs. just using your Ticketmaster account? And once they are in your Apple Wallet can you still access the tickets through TM account?

Yes you can still access them in TM once you put them on your Apple wallet.

It's more like Apple Pay... uses near field communication.

If all tickets are SafeTix, and the point is they generate a new barcode to scan every 15 seconds, then won’t we need the internet to gain entry?

The barcode changes every 15 seconds.

We haven't seen Anything that implies the RFID code sent/used by Apple Wallet changes every 15 seconds. In fact I'm not sure that's possible with Apple wallet.

I don’t think it is either. I would assume you’ll have to use the TM app/website to get in.

They’re not gonna give you an option to put your tix in the apple wallet if that option doesn’t work. Apple wallet has worked for me 100% of the time I’ve used it.

Aren’t the barcodes on these tickets supposed to be changing every few minutes? (Another anti-scalping tool.) I don’t see the Wallet working in this case.

Im not seeing where i can add these to Apple wallet? I usually put all my tickets in there? But I don’t see an option to add them? Is it the transfer button that keeps saying share with friends? Thank you

If you click on the ticket in your TM app you’ll be given an option to add to Apple ticket wallet, and also if you want to add both or just one (if you happen to have a pair, that is).

Thank you for explaining it but there is no option on mine? I have never had an issue before? The only thing that happens if I click on it is a transfer option to friends, there is no add to Apple wallet? Hope they are ok just in ticket master appoftenreading said:

  • Sigh... people should probably read the thread before saying how Apple wallet won't work...

Yes, this is the same NFC system they will be using for the shows.

Correct, and they will through the app. But the barcode isn’t used via the Apple wallet, you simply hold your phone near the reader. You can’t screenshot the signal, so the barcode isn’t needed in this case. At least thats how I understood it. Could be totally wrong!
  • Given this works, could someone not sell their tickets to a friend by logging onto their TM account on their friends device, and then loading both tickets into friends Apple wallet and logging back out of TM? Seems like that could work...

I’ll test it. Someone with GA tickets to St Louis send me your TM info and I’ll see if I can add it to my wallet.
