We'll call "A" Bob and "B" Susan.
It's commercial time during your fav evening television program when the 30 second "News Center" flash pops in to tell us what's coming up in a half an hour.
In those 30 seconds we are told about more Americans killed in Iraq, the price of gas rising again, Bush making jesty comments regarding the VP's hunting accident, and the poverty level is at an all time high.
the 30 second segment signs off with Bob looking at Susan with an over-confidently clever grin as if to say "Susan, we are on fire!" where Susan gestures a response as if to say: "No Bob, the world is on fire."
I spotted this "flash" about 15 minutes ago on channel 7 (Detroit) and assumed the gestures. Softly, it looked frightening.
Un-related...
As I was flicking through the channels I saw a tini of a program where a mother was pushing her young child in a swing and the daughter wailing with joy as if it, at that moment, was all that life was about.
Seeing this, I thought with a smile... "I wish we could all be children again, simply being pushed on a swing, soberly laughing away at life. But if we were, then who would rescue us from a burning, blazing fire?"
Could be the wine, it's Chilean..

In a way, that's awful...they could secretly be thrilled when horrible things happen because they can be all over it.
