In Atmos?!? Fuuuuuuuck yes!! Well done, guys. It’s going to sound fucking incredible!

“Greer encouraged the band to mix “Gigaton” in Dolby Atmos and present it in that format at today’s playback to highlight Evans’ production work. Indeed, “Gigaton” is believed to be the first album released by the Universal Music Group in Dolby Atmos sound.”

    Apple Music upgraded to high resolution this week, and the Dolby Atmos version of Gigaton is on there and sounds great. Atmos availability is limited so far, but a ton of stuff is now in lossless and sounds terrific.

    Let’s talk more about the Atmos mixes! Ten and No Code sound incredible on my new AirPod Pros. I am impressed overall with them side note. My first pair of wireless headphones!

    Yes.

    With those headphones, those mixes sound great. I’m not even sure those mixes work properly/ or are optimised on non apple headphones even wired ones. 

    AirPod max, then it’s crazy good

    Curious about this now that I picked up a new Macbook & AirPod Pros. Guessing I'd need to check out Apple Music to take advantage of this...? I'm sure I have a trial sitting around to hear them.

    You can't release Atmos mixes on CD either. They have to be released on Blu-ray, at least for physical media.
