msg bridge level (300s section) sound quality

Has anyone sat in 300 level at msg for a concert? Specifically in the bridge sections. Being that high up with a pane of glass between the seats and the stage, I am concerned about the sound quality. Especially if it is going to cost me over $1000 for a pair of tickets. Thanks in advance for any useful reviews.

  • The quality is not great on the MSG bridge. Also keep in mind for the 200 section above like row 15-18 or so, the bridge blocks the 200 sections. Some seats on the last 2 rows of the 200 section cant see the stage, at all.
  • Please dont pay that much..

I sat up in 200 level few years ago for about 5 songs to visit some friends. It was awful

I was in the 200 levels for the 4 Phish shows in December.  The sound was fine.  MSG is one of the best sounding arenas in the country, especially with great sound engineers like PJ and Phish have.

I've never sat in the chase bridges, and my girlfriend and I talked about it during the shows.

I scored a single in the chase bridges about 45 minutes ago on ticketmaster, so I guess I'll find out in about 2 months.
Hold off on stubhub.  TM usually releases declined credit card orders a few days after onsales.  You'll have to get really lucky, but it happened to be today!

The sound can be wonky in those upper sections under the bridge too. Saw the band from there in 2016 and it was hard to hear from where I was

The sound at msg post renovation is nowhere near what it used to be. The new balconies and bridges negatively impact acoustics.

Huh I was about to say that MSG sounds much better post-renovation, and I have sat in the bridge and upper levels. They've got speakers everywhere now, above the sections, so you're not reliant just on the stage speakers,

The sound is better on the bridge compared to the top of the 200s section. Lower 200s is obviously better than either of those.

But I highly suggest NOT paying such a high fee. It only promotes the scalpers. You have 2 full months to look for tix for at or near face value.

The sound might be better on the bridge but do those seats come with oxygen masks or does that require an additional purchase?
