General Admission Q: Was it possible to win with BA over someone who put GA?

Assuming the priorities being the same was it possible for someone who put in for BA to get in the pit over someone who put in for GA. Won tix for MSG so this isn’t a bitter thread(would still enjoy a puppy pic tho). I was just a little confused by this and was wondering if there was a definitive answer.

    Yes - if someone who selected BA was drawn while there were GA tickets still available, they would have gotten GA tickets. Anyone who selected GA only would be shut out once those tickets were gone.

    Well I colossally screwed up by putting 1st priority- MSG GA 2nd priority- MSG BA then. Feeling a lot more lucky that I won lol. Now I know for the fall, thanks guys!

    What you are saying isn't possible. It wouldn't have been possible to put 1st priority as GA only and 2nd priority BA. If you already know that you got GA then you just put in for GA only and didn't put in for BA at all. If you don't know for sure that you have GA tickets yet then you did not actually put in for 1st priority for GA and you just put in BA for that show. It wasn't possible to indicate a 1st AND 2nd priority for the same show under this current system.

    Hmm are you sure? I coulda swore I put in for MSG with my first two priorities. It might have been GA and RES.

    Edit: Yeah just checked my email, my first two priorities were MSG but it was GA and RES.

    Yep, if you selected both for a show you picked Best Available

    Edit: That’s why I thought it was both but I guess I’m remembering wrong. Makes sense tho cause I was wondering why’d you be able to pick GA and RES when there was a BA.
