will say this is the best song they have done in 15 years vs this song is pure garbage? Honestly at this point, I am just looking for good fun songs to hear live.I think Lightning Bolt, MYM, Pendulum did that. Love Getaway but does not translate live

I'm expecting an electro pop sound which hasn't, isn't and won't ever be PJ. I feel like they're trying to hip and modern with shying away from the rock sound and its going to land with a thud.
I hope I'm wrong but that ten second clip didn't sound remotely like the band I love.

There is no play for younger audiences. New rock music of the PJ variety is dead to the mainstream. They're probably not doing anything but trying to appeal to current fans and make tunes that they enjoy playing at this point.
If I'm wrong on this...they have pretty sound contemporary influences in the indie rock sphere. Particularly Jeff and Eddie. It's not like they'd be trying to emulate an Imagine Dragons record if they swung aggresively for a more moden sound. Could be fun. Critically acclaimed even. Lots of old hats will hate it though.
At most, I imagine I'll dig 3 or 4 songs off the record as I have in regard to all their latter career output at this point. Would love for Dance to be one of them as I'll definitely be staying up to hear it!

It has grown into itself over the years if recent comments are to be believed.
To each their own. New music, about damn time.
I'll listen and I'll have my opinion.
For sure I'm exciting

Excited because my favourite band is dropping a new record and because the live shows will clearly benefit from some new blood.
But I´m also nervous because I so want it to be good and I'm afraid there'll be some duds (as are on the latest two records). I don´t mind if they try something new but the song really has to be there otherwise it doesn´t matter. I hope they still got it is all I´m saying!
