It reminds me of a lullaby. I played it for my son once when he was a couple months old and wasn't sleeping through the night.
  • I lived in Hawaii for a year, my daughter was born there, and the music and laid-back feel of this song always takes me right back to that time. I can smell the ocean, see the palm trees blowing in the breeze, so calming to me.

I have never been to Hawaii, but it {the song} makes me feel like I am laying on a hammock between two palm trees on the beach at sunet with a slight ocean breeze, beer in hand, alone and at peace.

do I need to hand in my man-card?
If a man speaks in a forest and there is no woman around to hear him, is he still wrong?

    i agree with you!!
    i hurt myself today,
to see if i still feel,
    i focus all the pain,
    the only thing that´s real...

yeah, i always play this tune for old people who dont know pearl jam, and i tell them this is a rock-band that plays lullabies, and i think thats simply fucking incredible. i respect alot of other musicians and bands, and alot of "jam-bands" and grateful dead derivatives make some really excellent, groovy music to live-on, but i dont think there is any musical-act in the world that can span the stylistic diversity and depth of pearl jam.

is there anything they cant do?
    change begins with discontent.
