Past personal lottery results

Granted it was through Ticketmaster this time, I just looked up my past submissions for the lottery.

Probably reviewing the obvious, but ... In the past, you were able to prioritize what type of seat by show and put in for both GA and Res at the same venue. So this time if you put in for BA (which I did), I'm assuming you were entered in both the GA and Res draws.

Anyway, I had been 3-for-4 in PJ shows: Yes on Buffalo '13, Toronto '16, Fenway-1 '16 ... No on Ottawa '16. All wins were 1st Priority shows. Overall 3-for-6 though, with losses on Temple of the Dog for Philly and MSG (both Res). I did manage to score tix to TOTD at MSG during the public sale.

Went 3-for-3 this time around with all BA for Hamilton (1st priority), Ottawa (2nd priority) and Baltimore (only show). Running Ten Club member since '10 (my membership may have lapsed one previous time, I don't remember). Older members, how far back do your lottery results track having kept your membership current?

I’m a member since 1996 — I joined after having an incredibly hard time getting tickets to the non-Ticketmaster tour that year. Since then, I’ve 100% of the time been able to get Pearl Jam tickets through the fan club. Given, I never try for more than one show per tour, so my exposure is much less than some other members.

The only lottery I lost was Temple of the Dog, but I was able to get tickets through a Chris Cornell pre-sale.

When there are back to back shows such as Philly or New York, was it only possible to win one night? I can't remember.

I would say I’m roughly 4 for 25 since the inception of the lottery. Under the Mendoza line. Is what it is. If I miss I generally don’t go through public sale or stubhub. Periscope is a wonderful thing

Same here, lots more success in the F5 days. About 20% lottery success rate since - missed out on more then a few hometown Wrigley shows (found extras through others), no ToTD (really regret that now), and a few longshot requests for MSG and others (didn’t expect much anyway).

Then again I’ve been lucky to see them play the Vic, Eddie up close at Hot Stove Cool Music, PJ20, the Katrina benefit... so really I can’t complain if I miss out once in a while.

Have traded and taken extras more often for shows than missing out completely.

Same. With F5 I got every show I wanted. Of course, I sometimes had to devote 45 mins or more to finalizing each transaction, but perseverance paid off 100% of the time. I'm probably at about 15% success in the lottery, and have never won for NYC, even with it as first preference.

Overall since 2013 I have won 6 out of the 11 shows I put in for.    Before adding these up I didn't realize I had only won about half the shows I tried for.   Is what it is.   I still made it to a couple of the shows I didn't win through 10C.    Joined the 10C in 2000 I think.

That is one way to look at it, but I think this really illustrates the potential for confusion by looking at wins/entries. In 2013, 2016 and 2020 you put in for multiple shows, but you knew (or should have known) that only your first choice had a real shot (I'll be honest - I thought there was a slim chance that an MSG/Baltimore ticket might pay out this year, but definitely not the other way around, and I was clearly wrong anyway). I look at this and see 3/4.

What’s clear is if you had GA higher than priority 1 it shouldn’t even count as a loss. You has no chance of winning it to begin with.
