Advice thread--First PJ Concert (or first in awhile) what to expect when you're there?

I haven't been to a show since 2003, and for others it may be their first show. Thought this would be a good space for recent veterans to offer their advice or to explain what to expect.
Some things I'm personally curious about:
Approximately how much are shirts/posters these days?
Do the posters have tubes or should one come prepared?
If you're in the GA line, is there even a realistic chance to visit the merch areas?

Posters are usually about $30. You have to be there early because there is always a long line to get posters. You can buy a tube separately to store the poster. A good option if you will have the poster with you during the show. A lot of people get the poster and take it back to their cars.

Last couple of shows, standard shirts and posters were $35 each. Hoodies tend to be about $65. Hats about $30-35. Nowadays they do show specific shirts as well.
i would bring your own tube, as they run out sometimes.
at Jacksonville 2016, I sat in line for merch from 1 to 3:30. Then, I shifted over to the GA line for the next 3 plus hours. I was third back from the rail, in front of Ed. Now this show was probably not high in anticipation like some others (although one of my faves, I just loved every minute). So take that with a huge grain of salt.
Also, just be open to talking with line and seat buddies and geeking out over the music! Have no expectations for the set list, and just enjoy it all! Every show is so good! They have ruined other concerts for me. I’m pissed when a big band plays 17-18 songs for a show and leaves. Or uses the same set list!
Have fun!0 -
Posters were $35 in 2018, and shirts (and even hats) can be $35-40 as well. If you are going with a buddy, head to separate merch stands and be prepared to buy for each other if one of you gets to the front of your line and what you want is out of stock. Hoodies and the like can be around $65 or so.

Merch opens at 12 or 1? They will send out info a few weeks prior. It can be different show to show.
Rejuvenation is right! New album excitement is killing me! New song titles, band seems excited, that new snippet sounds ominous and cool. I can’t wait. New songs should really change up the set lists!0 -
I wish they would drop that album now so we have time to learn all the new songsAmy The Great #74594
