How expensive and from what location? I booked a full round trip Amtrak from Charlottesville for $90 total.

Definitely seems like Penn Station is the correct stop-off, for those who were asking earlier.

I'm a little spoiled so I'd go for business class or acela from NY which were about$250 round trip and I'm sure more now.

I am taking the train from NYC to Baltimore Penn. That is the one you want, not BWI.

Friends with family in Balt have warned about the Penn Station there and suggested bwi, even tho its further.

Out of curiosity, what exactly did they warn you about? I also have family in Bmore and have been in and out of Penn many times. It’s just a regular train station.

They suggested BWI and said they avoid the area by the station. That's all I know about it.

It's fine.. You're seconds from 83, which is what you would take to get down to Fells or the Inner Harbor. So if you're arriving during the day, I wouldn't think twice. Jump in an uber and head into the harbor area. It's no worse than the Wilmington, DE train station, that's for sure.

Seconded - Uber in, it'll take 5-10 mins. BWI would take you much longer. It's just very difficult to walk anywhere from Penn Station.
