So I see the merchandise opens at 1. Say I wanted to be first in line, get my stuff so I can enjoy the rest of my day. What time does people recommend lineup at?

I'm probably going to get in line at 11 or 1130. 

I had a friend that hits up all the merch, he said get there real early for the Toronto show. Does that make sense?

In 2016 the merch lines for Toronto were easily 2 hours long and it was steady from 1pm opening until the show started. 

So getting at the lines for 10am is enough time to not wait that long when they open?

IMO, WAY better than a floor ticket. If you're like me, you always get caught behind someone tall, no matter where you end up!

Yeah, I changed my flight for a day earlier to catch this show. So excited! I’m looking for a single ticket, preferably GA!!
