    Decided to take our electric car Chevy Bolt from Toronto->Ottawa->Quebec City->Toronto.  Will be interesting but PlugShare app makes it easy... and help save the glaciers from melting 😉

    Always happy to contribute. Hell I've never been myself but a coworker who is in our Montreal office filled me in. I verified on their website. A quick YouTube search will show the nice seating setup. 

    For a 6+ hour ride... open bar alone is worth over the $30 difference. Throw in a proper meal and improved seating? No brainer :)

We each got a pair of best available and we want to arrange for 3 GA if possible.  Will see what Best Available gets us and go from there but will most likely have a spare ticket or two either way. If someone has a spare GA maybe one of us can be ticket buddies and we can then get a couple people in on our reserved tickets (assuming we will get a couple at least) for those that missed lottery. Cheers!

    Yep for Ottawa. Have to wait 'til 1/27 to know whether GA or Reserved (single ticket). Doesn't matter to me which type.

    If there are enough folks I may call Via and explain the situation... will be a group of hard drinking, PJ listening fans heading East, and it might behoove them to seat us all together 😂 

    Maybe see if they will block off half a car or a car for us. I'm bringing my Bose soundlink Mini speaker.

    Not sure this is 100% true (but still good advice). Economy generally allows a big carry on bag (up to 50lbs, not an airline carry on bag) + personal item, and you can generally buy drinks. They offer a limited number of "escape" fares even cheaper. https://www.viarail.ca/en/travel-infos/classes-and-services

    That being said.. you're advice is good - we're doing the Saturday 2pm business class to QC (but I'm cheaping out on the morning TO to Ottawa..)

    I'm going to come out of the woodwork for this post.....
    Headed to Canada for my first international PJ shows.  Going to Ottawa and Quebec City.  We are staying in Kanata Friday night and then taking the 10:15 train to QC Saturday in BUSINESS class (a no brainer).  Love Quebec City and have never been to Ottawa since I was a kid.  Woohoo

    What’s the best way to get there and back from downtown (we don’t have a car)? Also, are there bars in the area of the show to hit ore concert?
