  • Just for the future, can somebody please answer my question? My requests went as such...

    Toronto - GA
    Toronto - Reserved
    Hamilton - GA
    Hamilton Reserved

I received an email saying I was chosen for both shows. Was my Hamilton GA a wasted request? Just curious so I know how to correct my requests in the future, so I have a better chance at GA.
What you are saying is that your picks were as follows:
    1. Toronto - Best Available
    2. Hamilton - Best Available

Your picks aren't broken down the way that you listed them anymore with this new system. The Hamilton GA request was in there with the Best Available request that you made so it wasn't wasted. Its not likely that you would get GA there on 2nd priority, but it didn't hurt you to try. Most likely you will be getting Reserved seats for Hamilton. Toronto you have a shot at GA and will find out next week. I don't think you could have done anything differently to give yourself a better chance at GA.

Thank you for the detailed explanation.

No, your requests were 1) Toronto - Best Available and 2) Hamilton - Best Available. Nothing wrong with that strategy. You more than likely were given a reserved seat for Hamilton though as most (all?) the GA seats would have been handed out to those who chose GA or BA as Priority 1.
    Thanks for answering.

Well, that 2nd pick was essentially a non-pick.  And you had about 50/50 on MSG.

You threw away your 2nd pick.
Yes, I understand that.  I did sign up when it still was 99%/99% :) With a high-ish number and living on Long Island, I wasn't confident of driving down to Baltimore (4-5 hours) to get a not-so-good seat. And yes, understand MSG is 50/50. Just throwing my results out there.

What I was telling my wife is I should have put 1st Toronto GA as well :)

Oh well. At least I put in for the fan verified TM thingy. Maybe I can get a good behind the stage ticket.

Wow, that's crazy.  Glad you won one though.  If you would have reversed your priorities I'm sure you would have won a few more.

My picks were all BA and all pairs and I won all three.  Hoping GA for SD and at least one LA show.

    1) San Diego
    2) LA 1
    3) LA 2

Last tour in 2013 I won GA for SD and GA for one LA show and lost my 2nd LA show all together so went with Ticketmaster (also lost TOTD LA and Seattle but scored an LA seat with Ticketmaster).

Can't wait for a week from today to finalize the plans!

You realize your mistake for next time, right? Don't ask for all GA. Anything after Priority 1 is a mistake. Well, you could make a case that Quebec City at 75% odds might have been an ok pick for Priority 2 but even that would be a risk.

This is exactly my order of BA picks and I won all three as well!  I do feel awful for those of you that did not land any due to what seems like some sort of error on the ticketing end.  Seems like there was a lot of issues with the two nighters (LA, OAK) so I feel fortunate to have scored.

Cool, see you there.  So I assume you are going for VF pre-sale for SD?  How many other shows are you going for?

I still don't know why people would only pick G/A.

Is it not better to be in a seat vs. outside of the venue?

Maybe you're from far away and want a shot at an epic trip but only worth it to you if you get in the pit. Otherwise, yeah, waste of time.

I know the adrenaline was firing for me at work after I got the notice and saw it required action (didn't know immediate action was not required) so at first I didn't see my code, then when I finally found it and picked my shows, I quickly picked GA for all three...only to realize my error a little later and luckily I fixed it.  But I think for some people, maybe they've been to a lot of shows but never had GA, or cash was tighter so they said, screw it, GA or nothing for me.

I think if you have a really high member number and you believe in the fan to fan system, that you can likely get better F2F tickets than you would have been assigned.  I am SO curious to see how this is going to work out.  I have the feeling there will be zero inventory, and any tickets that people put up will be gone in 10 seconds.  Look forward to F5'ing every 10 seconds for the next 2+ months.

I picked GA on two shows. One show is because I'm going with 4 people so the only way I'd ditch my friends is being on the floor. The other show my ten number is high so did LA1 Ga and LA2 best available. Figure I would hit one of those

I am one of the GA only people. I do agree that the resale thing does make it a bit of a good idea to get reserved and see what comes up, however:
    1) I have never really had too much of a problem getting great tickets over the years. Most I spent was $200 for a GA in LA from a fan club member. I have never been to MSG, so I have no comment on that as that is a whole other ballgame.
    2) I live 5 hours from PHX. I will spend at least $250 on travel. I would like to secure a very good seat if I am spending $250 just to get there.

A Ten Club member charged you $200 for their extra GA ticket?

Impossible! Ten club members never flip merch or tickets to fellow members!!

Because SOMEBODY was going to win them! I got GA only for Phoenix....stop making others who chose GA feel like shit cause you were so much smarter and didn't pick GA only....

Or, wait for it, a husband and wife, 2 friends, etc. One puts in BA because they have the better TC number, the other puts GA only.
