Thankfully Thwarted

Neck tilted up and to the right
Fingers ready, too
Sinuses clear
Breath is calm
Mouth open

Back to you now
Behind two closed doors
Catching no eye contact
With infinite whores

I do not want to meet you
You are not what I imagined
My hearts are full, dammit
And I'm happy at my desk

    Stay where you are
    Eyes open sealed shut
Down in the pit, stuck in the rut
    Muzzle the mutt

    Stay who are
    Comfortable peace
    Boughten earth no lease
    Aged to decease

    Stay what you are
    Born to ride free
    Cat scratching at flea
    No meaning to see

  • and so it flows...

Thanks Brian. I forgot about this poem so thanks for reminding me of it. I’ll write one on the spot for you.

    Traveling through the sky,
    My thoughts sing about her.
    Rubbing elbows with the stars,
she waters my core to its core.

There is a sun, loving, about me.
    It’s bright, giving and growing.
there is a moon lurking below me.
    It’s thin, cold and fading.

Sing to me moon sing to me
    And Send me away moon.
Please Howl at me me moon, howl at me
    How’s it being me, moon?
    How’s it being me?
