Sea Hear Now is in Cali - am I right? Man if that ends up being a go for fall; more dates should be ready to rock in other states. With how locked down California has been since last March.

The governor is expected to announce some major changes towards loosening restrictions very shortly.

UFC just packed 15,000 into an indoor arena last night. Timing can be debated, but the bottom line is things are starting to happen again. PJ shows later this year would be awesome.

Saw that.  Looked like that event took place in pre pandemic times.   Side note , felt sorry for the guy who broke is ankle 5 seconds in.

Approximently 5,800 cases (not deaths) out of almost 100,000,000 fully vaccinated Americans.

When this thing started and people were saying "it's just the flu" that was idiotic. It was way more contagious and lethal and we didn't know much about it (remember wiping your groceries?).

Now, with vaccines in full supply, it is more like the flu...you might still get COVID, but it won't kill you (if you're fully vax'd). Unless one of the variants changes that, I'm ready to rock. 

P.S... got my second Pfizer dose on April 2nd.

Don't believe so.

My point in asking is that the vaccines have never claimed to be 100% effective in preventing COVID.  But they can greatly mitigate the severity of symptoms  in those people who were unlucky enough to get sick after being vaccinated.

Everything I’ve read has said that the vaccines are only slightly less effective for prevention and are still very effective for mitigating severe illness or death. 

Are you referring to reports that the variant is able to evade the natural immunity response in people who haven’t been vaccinated but already had COVID? Because that’s something totally different.

I might be wrong but it is that they haven’t been tested against the variants. They were found to be effective against the Brazilian and African variants but I haven’t heard anything regarding the India variant

I happened to read an article on NPR yesterday.   It was informative but I’m definitely not an expert and frankly don’t want to be. I was just curious where the info came from.  Fingers are crossed we continue to move in the right direction for reasons more important than concets 😁

Exactly. The vaccines will not eradicate COVID and there's a chance we can still get it and, you know, get sick - like I always get sick after going to concerts. You might even catch a virus that isn't COVID! Then I got better and I had amazing memories of Picture in a Frame sung to a couple that GOT MARRIED AT THE SHOW or the Ten Banner or WMA/99 Problems. Life is full of risks but with vaccinations COVID is a manageable risk. Also the evidence so far is the vaccines are effective against the variants as well.

Vaccines are open and readily available to all adults in Massachusetts right now.  You can go on to the CVS website right now and book for a same day appointment (go on and look if you dont believe me) 

There is no reason we cant have concerts in 5 months.  We are at the 2 yard line and it is April 26th.
