Pearl Jam Trouble lyrics
Trouble, oh trouble set me free
I have seen your face and its too much for me today
Trouble, oh trouble cant you see
You're eating my heart away, and theirs nothing much left of me
I've drunk your wine
You have made your world mine
so won't you be fair
oh won't you be fair
I don't want no more of you
So won't you be kind to me
And let me go there
I have to go there
Trouble, oh trouble move away
I have seen your face and its too much for me today
Trouble, oh trouble can't you see
You have made me a wreck, now wont you leave me in my misery
I've seen your eyes
And I have seen deaths disguise, oh hanging on me
oh hanging on me
I'm deep and torn
I'm shattered and lost and worn
So shocking to see
Too shocking to see
Trouble, oh trouble please be kind
I dont wanna fight, and I havn't got a lot of time...
I love this song, but I have only heard it once, and don't remember when or where. Did they only play it once, and does anyone know where I can find it? And what are your interpretations of the song, what do you think?

Circle comes around each time
Circle comes around each time

On the skiiscrape, there is an mp3 from years ago listed under T in the songbook.
And
The Italian site--PJ Online has Ed singing this more recently near that radio interview on Jonesy's Jukebox (?) from a few months ago.
they just played it in montreal and it seemed to fit the occasion perfectly, for some strange reason...it was played with ev and the electric guitar, right before man of the hour. at a show that was deadicated to johnny ramone. right before the tune ed said something like "we're getting through this thing together so..." and then goes into this song, start of encore #1
thank you to PJ for releasing the live bootlegs.... i am blown away reliving the magic that went down on that tour.
I was a huge Cat Stevens fan growing up, and when i discovered Pearl Jam, I was so taken in by Ed's voice that I remember telling my husband that he would sound incredible singing a Cat Stevens tune.... I almost died when I found out he did!!! Ed has also covered "Don't Be Shy" another Cat Stevens song.... check it out if you haven't heard it!
...thank you...for posting this, so i didn't have to.
from my window to yours
cat stevens...sure, i suppose i'm a distant fan...as far as greatest hits go, i'm there...but i didn't recognize this tune at all.
i'm almost positive ev's preset was don't be shy that night, too
2 cat tunes

bottom of the article, check it out
here's the last 2 paragraphs...talkiing about the HoF....
The inclusion this year of trumpet giant Davis suggests a broadening of scope by the hall, which has paid little attention to jazz. Singer-songwriter Stevens is the beneficiary of a grass-roots lobbying effort, according to Seymour Stein, the founder of Sire Records and the president of the board of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
"Johnny Ramone, right before he died last year, sent me three letters," Stein said. "One was from himself, one from Eddie Vedder and one from (Red Hot Chili Peppers' guitarist) John Frusciante, all advocating the induction of Cat Stevens, and I agree."
